August 11th is universally recognized as “Hip-Hop’s Anniversary” – a day celebrating DJ Kool Herc’s Back To School Jam in 1973, in the Bronx, and the birth of a new genre. It is a day to celebrate Hip-Hop culture and support the community.

This event is about giving back to our community and we’re raising awareness and resources for the educational organization, New York Edge, whose mission is to help bridge the opportunity gap among students in underinvested communities.
