FUSICOLOGY: Please describe your sound

URBAN MYSTIC: My music is gospel meets hip hop & R&B. I grew up in the church where I currently still attend in Ft. Lauderdale, this greatly influenced me.

FUS: How is the local scene in South Florida for soul singers?

UM: I get a lot of love from local promoters who have known me for years, so I do a lot of shows.

FUS: What have been some memorable shows for you?

UM: Opening for Angie Stone was a great honor. She brought me back on stage and presented me to the crowd.

FUS:What are your plans this summer?

UM: I am touring all summer. Just having finished the Florida tour and moving on to other parts of the country. Looking to get on a major tour and continue to do my own dates.

FUS: Who produced the records?

UM: Scott S, we have been working together for a while now.

FUS: Who are you inspired by?

UM: Bobby Womack, The Temptations, Al Green, KC & Jodeci, H-Town.

FUS: What are your goals for the future?

UM: To branch off my own record labels, movies, commercials etc and to sing until I can’t sing no more!
