Victor Atkins is a celebrated pianist, composer, and educator known for his contributions to the Jazz world. Born and raised in Selma, Alabama, Atkins developed a deep passion for music early in life, influenced by gospel and blues traditions, he honed his craft through formal studies, earning a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music and a Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music. Atkins gained prominence in the 1990s as a key member of the Grammy Award-winning jazz group Los Hombres Calientes, where his innovative arrangements and dynamic performances captivated audiences worldwide.
