Get amped up! It’s time to investigate the science of sound and color through hands-on activities designed for the whole family. We’ll manipulate sound and light waves, explore how humans and animals perceive sounds and colors, then blend music and art into colorful STEM masterpieces. Along the way; learn about the amazingly diverse group of scientists, engineers, and artists who are innovating in the fields of sound and color science.

10:30 a.m. – Kaboomistry
12:30 p.m. – Kaboomistry

– Pop-up activities – ongoing throughout the day; each will be paired with informational signage on a scientist or inventor
– Diffraction Grating – exploration of light waves and animal vision
– Dancing Oobleck – see sound waves in motion
– Soundwave Spin Art – create colorful masterpieces inspired by sound, created using forces in motion
