If you haven’t been paying attention to the Hennessy Artistry series, it’s time to start. I was going to sit here and write this long drawn out review but words cannot really describe the kind of set Hennessy laid out for Detroit this past weekend. Bert’s Warehouse was flipped into a plush lounge and housed some of today’s brightest and best (The Roots, Q-Tip, Travie McCoy, Big K.R.I.T., Jay Electronica, Marsha Ambrosius and D-Nice) and one unforgettable soulful set from legend, Chaka Khan.
