Art4Dilla Open Call for “So Far To Go” Art Exhibition in Detroit

La Famiglia, 323 East & 5E Gallery Present – “So Far To Go” – An art exhibition in tribute to J Dilla

La Famiglia, 323 East and 5E Gallery are proud to announce that on the behalf of Ma Dukes and The J Dilla Foundation, they will be hosting an group art exhibition in tribute to the legendary producer known as J Dilla. “So Far To Go” will be showcasing original artwork inspired by J Dilla from artists around the globe.

This exhibit will be a celebration and closing for the “So Far To Go” International J Dilla Tribute Art Contest; which was an organized as an awareness and fundraising campaign for the J Dilla Foundation. Over 140 artists from around the world participated and the contest reached fans and supporters in over 112 countries. Now the people will get a chance to experience first hand a body of work inspired by one of the worlds most inspirational and missed recording artists.

The exhibit opening will be held at 5E Gallery in Detroit’s historic Corktown District in May 27, 2011 (Artists and additional exhibit locations to be announced). A portion of the proceeds from the exhibit will be donated to Ma Dukes and The J Dilla Foundation to help fund their ongoing programs.
