Female vocalist Jack Davey and producer Brook D’ Leau are the flamboyant twosome that is J* DaVeY, and the signature sound that they create is an eclectic mix of soul, new wave, funk, and hip-hop that defies the creative constraints of today’ s narrowly defined musical categories. The rhythmically hypnotic electronic mélange that D’ Leau brews is imbued with Jack’ s haunting lyrical intrigue and addictively smooth sonic inventions.
They recently released their long-anticipated album, New Designer Drug, which was met with a glowing reception from fans, despite being oft-delayed due to label issues. “Seeing this project through has been a test of strength, will, and ultimate patience," says lead vocalist Jack Davey.
