RJ is a classical pianist and native of Chicago. RJ studied at St. Xavier University and UNLV, where he received a Bachelors and Masters of Arts degree in Jazz Studies. RJ, an accomplished composer has played with some of music's most talented musicians such as Lonnie V. Hunter III and the Voices of St. Mark, House of Twang, Jennifer Hudson, Otis Clay, Christopher Williams, Beverly Crawford, Erykah Badu, Angie Stone and Jon B, Buddy Guy, Dave Loeb, Mike Phillips, Lisa McClendon, etc.
Now residing in Atlanta, Julie Dexter, Born and raised in Birmingham, England, Julie composes and arranges her own music; She has been influenced by legends such as Nancy Wilson, Abbey Lincoln, and Bob Marley, as well as popular icons such as Omar and Sade. Julie Dexter has shared the spotlight with a host of cutting-edge artist, including Mint Condition, Jill Scott, Bilal, Omar, Loose Ends, Rachelle, Ledesi, Eric Roberson and Raheem DeVaughn to name a few.
On Friday April 27th RJ And The Assignment Featuring Julie Dexter will light up the stage at The Lounge, Palms Hotel Casino Resort, a premier hotspot and place to be on Thursdays for Live Jazz, Spoken Word and Neo-Soul.
