Each and every Tuesday the Archives bring Foundation Roots Reggae w/a twist of Ska & Rock Steady.
The Archives is the brainchild of Eric Hilton of the internationally
acclaimed duo Thievery Corporation. The all-star band, led by Darryl
'D-Trane' Burke, is currently recording their debut album on ESL
Music, with a full-length release scheduled for Fall 2011.
The Archives mission is to unearth and reconnect with reggae music's
true roots and resurrect the classic sounds of rock-steady, roots,
dance hall and dub. The band is made up of all veteran players,
several of whom have toured internationally with various legendary
reggae acts such as Culture, Eek-A-Mouse & Jr Marvin of The Wailers.
In their first year together as a band, their captivating live show
has quickly elevated them to the top of the DC reggae scene. An
