L.A-based award-winning singer Dessy Di Lauro (pronounced D'Laro) has created a unique sound of her own, self-described as “Feathered Frohawk Futuristic Art Deco Centric Harlem Renaissance Hep Music,” along with her producer Ric'key Pageot (Madonna, Jill Scott, Cirque du Soleil). Dessy recently released her new EP entitled, Jump N' Jivin': Live @ The Swing House, which features her new award-winning single/video, Why U Raggin'? This single has won her two Hollywood Music in Media Awards, notably for Best R&B/Soul Song of the Year. 

Last September she was voted the Homegrown Featured Artist by the staff of the biggest independent music record store in the world, Amoeba Records in Hollywood, CA. She has also been nominated by the highly regarded Soultracks.Com Reader's Choice Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year of 2011.

Dessy will be making her Blue Note Club debut with her jumpin' n' jivin' show along with her stellar band and horn section featuring musicians from the current Madonna touring band including pianist/keyboardist Ric'key Pageot and drummer Brian Frasier-Moore. Expect nothing less but a high caliber juke joint jamboree by this unique neo-ragtime/r&b artist. Dessy Di Lauro is definitely a star in the making.
