Dolores Street Community Services in association with
Agustin Luna Presents and Eyes On Arizona Collective bring you:
BUILDING BRIDGES & BREAKING BORDERS AN AFTERNOON WITH THE EDDIE PALMIERI LATIN JAZZ QUINTET FEATURING JOHN SANTOS AND ORESTES VILATO
with special guests LOS CENZONTLES and CAMBIO.
Special set by DJ Son of Sõn from Refuge - Roots of Rhythm
Experience an afternoon of music and culture at this historic fundraiser to support immigrant justice.
Known for his charismatic power and bold innovative drive, Eddie Palmieri has a musical career that spans over 50 years as a bandleader of Salsa and Latin Jazz orchestras. Mr. Palmieri is a true living legend with a discography that includes 36 titles and nine Grammy Awards. The Jazz Quintet will include John Santos on percussions and Orestes Vilato on timbales. Digging deep into Latino traditions and providing pioneering musical offerings will be Bay Area group Los Cenzontles and hip hop artist Cambio.
This will be an afternoon to support immigrant justice. Dolores Street Community Services and their allies extend their solidarity to organizations like No More Deaths, a Tucson-based group, dedicated to stopping the death and suffering faced by migrants along the US/Mexico border. In an effort to increase public awareness about the human rights crisis unfolding at the border and raise monetary support, these three artists join a once-in-a-lifetime bill to assist those engaged (from Arizona to the Bay) in the historic struggle for immigrant rights and social justice.
