Saturday’s at Cielo is home to Paradizo and on April 14^th Willie Graff oversees the night with another eclectic selection of house and its various shades. For those into quality underground house music the names Willie Graff, and his studio partner Tuccillo, should be familiar ones. The pair has issued several seriously well-received EPs together of late, including the brilliant ‘Go Deep’ on Circus Company and ‘To The Music’ on Isgud. ‘The Phonomontage EP’, their latest release, and third for Freerange Recordings, is just out and features the quite brilliant driving funky instrumental, ‘Set Me Free’. It’s full of sultry goodness and a subtle hook and bassline from the heyday of ‘80s boogie, while ‘Get It On’ picks up the pace for an old school jam made in the classic Mood II Swing mould. The EP closes with the warm and spacey ‘Lunar Feelings’ – a track designed with the Pacha terrace in mind where less-is-definitely-more. Willie Graff, the Ibicencan-American, is one of the finest and most prestigious DJs in the avant-garde of dance music scene, and Cielo’s proud to call Paradizo his home.
