This Tuesday Brown Boi and Lady Essence spin joints by Detroit, Michigan Rapper/Producer/DJ James Yancey aka J. Dilla (February 7, 1974 - February 10, 2006). J. Dilla was know for his genius approach to the word of music. Dilla produces music from artist such as Slum Village, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Common, Busta Rhymes, Erykah Badu, Janet Jackson, The Pharcyde, Bilal and Mos Def. In additon Dilla released solo albums such as Donuts, Welcome to Detroit and Ruff Draft just to name a few. Sadly, Dilla lost his life to the blood disease called Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. Join us this Tuesday as we celebrate the music of the late great J. Dilla.
