Lee Fields & The Expressions Premiere Video For “Faithful Man”

Lee Fields & The Expressions just released the new music video for “Faithful Man,” the title track from the critically praised second album with Truth & Soul Records, released in the spring of 2012. A limited edition 45 of “Faithful Man” features a b-side with a stripped-down, “bare bones” version of the track and is available now. The group has also announced a number of U.S., Canadian and European tour dates this fall including a performance at Austin City Limits.

Faithful Man is Fields’ follow-up to the well-received 2009 album My World. The songs on the album feature a modern take on a vintage sound, telling tales of love, heartbreak a blues in a time-honored way. Born a raised in the small town of Wilson, North Carolina, Fields spent his teenage years singing in church a listening to the classic soul of ’60s Memphis. By the late sixties, Lee was touring with the bands who would lay the foundation for funk music, including Kool and the Gang, Sammy Gordon and the Hip-Huggers, and Little Royal. Back in the 1970s, Fields was also nicknamed Little JB for his similarity to James Brown. These days though, he’s got a soul that’s all his own.
