The 10th Annual Roots Jam Session and launch party for new iOS music player app Serato Pyro kicked off last night with a four hour jam session from The Roots and surprise performances from some of this year’s Grammy nominated artists and all-time favorites. Best New Artist nominee and the most recent star to join The Voice as Adam Levine’s advisor, Tori Kelly then took the stage and performed 3 songs with her guitar. Indie artist Bilal jammed out before Jeremih jumped up to sing several of his famed hip hop songs, including “Don’t Tell Em.” Finally, Nelly surprised the crowd and performed 3 of his classics, “E.I.,” “Ride Wit Me,” and Hot in Herre.” Leon Bridgesand Natasha Bedingfield were also in attendance.
Questlove, John Legend, Tori Kelly and more artists and industry guests took to the new iOS music player app and first consumer product from Serato, Serato Pyro, to curate a special playlist from the evening that is available now exclusively on Serato Pyro, for free download in the App Store. You can also find other exclusive playlists from DJ Jazzy Jeff, A-Trak, Diplo, Aoki, The Roots and more.
