Check out LAURA JANE’s sophomore album EVERYTHING CHANGES, displaying
a different sound and an eclectic musical quilt. Laura Jane is very much rooted in soul
music and r & b , but she seems to enjoy “sashaying” around different genres and trying
new things. As an independent artist she says “I have the freedom to not put myself in
Everything Changes features a stunning acapella song THE ANSWER with
a unique orchestra of brazilian percussion arranged and performed by percussionist
extraordinaire GILMAR GOMES, who hails from Bahia, Brazil. Laura Jane then glides
into the title track EVERYTHING CHANGES, featuring piano and light percussion,
poetic lyrics and signature vocal harmony arrangements. My Confession is a pulsating
and funky soulful groove and probably taps the most into her very soul, R&B roots.
Another interesting treat on the album is the duet THE VOW – a classic wedding
song, which seems like it could become a classic. This album might have a little bit for
everyone. Laura Jane’s talent is undeniable and she is an artist to watch….
Laura Jane is a indie soul artist based out of Los Angeles. She is not necessarily new to
the music business having proven to be a very busy and in demand singer. She busted
on to the scene with her debut album TO MY PLANET BOO released independently in
2005. Having taken the time to write, recreate and redefine herself as an artist she has
released a sophomore album EVERYTHING CHANGES. This soul rooted album still
captivates her musical quilt and displays a lot of what makes LAURA JANE unique.
There are elements, of jazz, soul, poetry, brazilian, latin soul and even pop on this
album. Her lyrics always thoughtful, this album displays some serious growth in her as a
songwriter . Laura Jane is an artist to watch!
